Knowing the dates is more important as tax filing in 2016 now comes with a big surprise. On July 31, 2015, the Highway Funding Bill was passed into law. One of its many provisions changes the filing deadlines for partnerships, C corporations and certain tax-exempt entities.
The deadlines for some of the Forms are now modified and if you still haven’t checked the law, you have enough time to check the changes to avoid penalties.
